GoPro has introduced a new program aimed at helping promote social causes in order to engage and inspire people to participate. Called GoPro for a Cause, the company will be providing technical, production, marketing, and financial support to organizations doing some good in the world.
“Since the beginning, we had a vision to leverage [our product] as a platform of positivity and to do good in the world,” said Woodman. “It’s steeped in sharing positive experiences and we want to have the world go out and live more fulfilled lives. The same type of content approach that has made the brand more popular can help make social causes more well known.”
