Behind every successful person, there are many lessons learned… and for every lesson learned, there is a lot of trying, falling, getting up, and winning involved; this is the circle of success. Success is an ongoing process.
Success is not like a bag of popcorn that you put in the microwave and there it is ready for you to open in less than three minutes. Success is not about instant results, success requires effort, faith, action, time, a good attitude, good management, and constancy.
Wouldn’t it be amazing if achieving success simply implied getting a prescription from your doctor? or What about if you could buy success online at amazon.com or at Barnes & Noble? or How would you like the idea of going to your favorite restaurant like The Cheesecake Factory and ordering success from the menu?
Well, success is much more than all of those things combined. Obvious, right?
More so, reading a book about success will not make you successful, though it can serve you as a tool to gain knowledge and apply it to your success plan as it may fit.
First of all, what makes you successful begins with how you interpret success as success does not mean the same thing to every person.
You are responsible for your own success. Here are seven things for you to consider to build a strong success foundation.
Once you know where you want to go and what you want to achieve personally and professionally, your willpower needs to be accompanied with work. Every effort – big or small – that you make towards achieving success counts.
You need to believe in yourself and in what you do. Doubting yourself will not work. A little bit of faith can grow into big faith, so do not dismay. Visualize your success – what you do not have yet – and let this be your fuel to move forward.
Every action produces results, and each result brings you closer to success in one way or another. If something works well for you, keep doing it. The more you do something, the better you’ll become at it. Also, try different things to obtain different results.
Every day, you have an opportunity to make progress to succeed. Success takes time to build and patience is key to become successful. Think of success as a tree that you plant and water in order for it to grow and produce fruit. Enjoy the seasons of your journey.
A Good Attitude.
Knowing how to effectively deal with your ups and downs is essential. A bad attitude is your enemy. Of course, there will be times when you will feel discouraged, irritated or frustrated, which is okay as long as you do not let these emotions control you. Smile.
Monitoring and measuring the progress of your actions is a big part of achieving success as it helps you know whether or not you’re on the right track. Managing your success will keep you focused and determined.
Achieving success requires constancy and constancy requires commitment. Becoming successful will not become a reality if you work on it for a month and take a three-month brake. Choose your own pace and keep making progress.
